Behind Depression

Written by DesertBoyIan  (5/11/2011 11:30:39 AM)

Oh, I think you described it great! I liked the way you slowly wove your words to bring us to the pinacle of depression and suicide! I think this definitly qualifies for the Challenge!

Vengeful

There's such bitterness here, at first I wanted to roll my eyes, but then I thought better of it. It's brillant, writing so fully from one perspective. Mothers are portrayed so often as people who have only one emotion, self sacrificial love. They aren't 'supposed' to want anything in return.

Even so, part of me feels like there were more choices than the narrator of your story here maybe even saw. Like she chose not to sleep, she chose not to reach elsewhere for companionship. Which is compelling and the complex emotions it draws out are worthy of examination.

Great one..

Reminds me of my MOM, and the care she still takes, though written in little pain, true emotions have come out.

Keep writing Supriya.
