I don't think a lot of work went into this, mostly hate. there is also freedom in the US, oppertunity, and some good people who know how to share with others, like providing a free education for 12 years, safe places to go when you are sad, like libraries and parks, the right to vote and be who you want to be, you're welcome!

Everyone has a right to express themselves-- be it the negitive veiw or postive. Where this poem does hold truth to it, so does your statement. I feel like we need to respect both sides here. America is amazing, sure, but we have a heck of a lot to work on. I believe that that is what the author is trying to say here.
