So, the picture completely freaked me out-- but I've looked past that (literally and figuratively). I loved your language and sense of weight that is carried throughout the poem-- however, I feel like the resolution to the poem is a little too stark in contrast to the rest of the piece. The final stanza, to me, seems to come up from nowhere and thus less believable.

That aside, it was a good read.

An interesting juxtaposition. Your heady wording, and freaky picture create a wonderful friction. Talent, and joy in manipulating words...is hard to come by. Very cool!
