this is so....I just can't describe it....I guess it mirrors something in my life, in a way. *sigh* life is so freaking tough. *hug* love ya, babe. We still gotta hook up. :-) ~mary

Beautiful, Melissa.

I always know that when I read your work, I will leave, speechless. I think its because I am always drawn to your imagery. It always takes me with it. I become subject and form. Yeah, I'm babbling again..sorry, lol.

wow, all of your work gets five stars. Someone must take a fancy to your superb eloquence and writing technique.
I wish I was a five star poet.
Oh...I wish, I wish, I wish.
lol.
Your work is always good. In fact, wouldn't it be awesome if we could put a face to each writer on moontown?

Like the first time I saw a picture of Robbins, or Braughtigan....I just new.

of course,

this is just beautiful....it's lush, wet. I so love your work. Though, of course, being me, I have a couple of suggestions (feel free to toss them away; brilliance can be choosy!) I'd spell out or hyphenate the twenty-ounce Coke (or 20-ounce)....alone, it kinda hangs there. And I might try a different word for slipped, in "slipped/on the comfortable coat...." because when I first read it, I thought you "slipped on," as if on banana peel, before I read the next line. After that, it just turns into gold and it's perfect. Especially "wetly tell you...." Loved that. -Stacia :)

all great line

BUt me i'd begin to read at

"there is a lot
of loss in this lake." because it all stays very concisely on subject and perfectly gets the message across without need of earlier side issue lines.
I'd save them for their own works as they are to good not to. Dam i like your style/subjects and insight but sometimes i like the KISS method when reading --cant keep myself there though !!! easier read than done!!! thanks for the great reading!!!
