I went to Virginia Tech yesterday. I had graduated in 1994, and I moved back to Virginia some time ago. Yesterday I met 3 young women who lost a friend (shot by that guy Seung Hui Cho). They were sitting at their friend's memorial, near Burruss Hall, which is adjacent to Norris Hall. This poem sort of explains how I feel about the shootings. We cannot go back. We can help others now instead. I now realize that I can reclaim myself, and I can give something to others. I can help them while I help myelf.

to javajoe - your explanation was well said - peace be with us all in times of 'madness' which somehow leads to poetic reflection thanks for the post explanation regards zajl
