The Sleeping Beauty

Written by DesertBoyIan  (2/7/2011 11:17:53 AM)

I can really feel the time ticking by SO slowly for you. And the deive language you use makes me feel as though I am in your position. "What is this gentle torture " is an excellent line - I love it, it describes the situation so well, and is very creative! You are a VERY good poet - keep writng! Peace - Ian

I agree with you Ian

Stanza # 10 is my favorite. Very evocative and daring, I must say.

I found this poem quite romantic but rather sad. The poem displays many powerful images per verse making the poem into a short story. A nice piece of work to read.

There is a sad desperation to your poem which I reckon everyone at one time in their life is able to relate to.

‘Just one look from you
Would sustain me for a lifetime’

This simple sentence screams of a passion which we all desire to have directed at us.

Keep smiling and keep writing.
