Strange Brew \

A seemingly endless pile of bodies resting at my feet
So many faces without names I can remember
People I knew some not so well as I thought
Others so well I felt no need to see anymore
Ive spent my life collecting memories
Most Id rather forget or forgive myself for
Coming so far up from where I started
Still stuck beneath even the most common person
My purpose here not yet revealed Im left with assumption
Barely the strength to continue one day to the next
I find new faces and search their souls for answers
Adding one more body to the pile one more step up
Rising slowly from the depths with each new spirit I meet
I have come to realize the bodies at my feet are all that is holding me up..
