Dear Poetry Aficionados,

Poetry & Poets in Rags blog:
http://poetryandpoetsinrags.blogspot.com/

This week begins in Afghanistan, specifically with the women who are poets there and how they risk death. The suicide of poet Zarmina is looked at in context, such that we can see what she went through, and then what other female poets are going through.

It''s a week of several potential headlining stories, and a couple good ones for our Back Page, the eleventh in News at Eleven. We also have many poems to read in News at Eleven, as many as I can remember. Many are from the UK, and many from Philadelphia. And if you read through the article on Nissim Ezekiel, you''ll find it ends with one.

It''s a potpourri week that should peaks interest in many ways. And this continues into our Great Regulars section.

I''ll let you get to your reading. Thanks for clicking in.

Yours,
Rus
