Poetic Answerings - Challenge - How Much is Enough

Poetic Answerings - Challenge - How Much is Enough

I Cannot Claim the Words

When my lips cease to speak,
my tears start to slip,
and my trembling pen begins to spill,
I cannot claim the words
that stain the page before me.
They simply bleed out
from my heart, my soul,
from my inner everything,
like dying, again and again,
sometimes the ink blots,
sometimes it splatters
beyond the paper's edge,
to stain other's,
but I cannot claim the words,
by the time they reach an end,
I'm already bled out...dead.
