What can you rhyme with what I just said?

What can you rhyme with what I just said?

"Tell me, what can you rhyme with what I just said?"

What of the truths that are left unsaid?

Why do eyes skip them as if they were dead?

For that's just the way we've all been bred,

believing the lies that we have been fed

through pen strokes on paper which you have since read.

And as you lie falling asleep on your bed,

the words that you ate are entwined in your head,

entering your mind, sinking like lead,

you consume the syllables as if they were meds,

feeding your brain like it's your daily bread.

And now you look back at the way you have bled,

and you see no meaning in all of this red,

stop watching the past, focus only ahead.

Your life is your own, your demons have fled,

you've freed yourself from a past life you had wed.

The reason is gone for your fear to tread,

and enter all places of which you dread.

So learn from mistakes in the life you had led,

for you are alive, you are not undead.

Stop begging for a bit of another's cred,

and forge a future of your own instead.

What can I rhyme with what you just said?

Why, I'll rhyme a revolution from beginning to end.
