The Beacon of my Body...(Lighthouse Challenge)

The Beacon of my Body...(Lighthouse Challenge)

***It seems that the ultimate break up, the most forever break up; the break up greatest in its finality and magnitude, would be the break up between one's own body and soul.***

My body has been my lighthouse,
my soul, my ship at sea, free, so beautifully free,
and the safety of the beacon of my body,
has always called me back safely,
when I've sailed too far, on waves of love, mistakenly.
But now my soul is sailing back one last time,
those long steep lighthouse stairs to climb,
and with a simple click, turn out that beacon light,
no big break up scene,
no need to yell or scream,
just one soft click of the beacon's switch light,
then forever...forever...
at last a peaceful good night,
...oh, at last...
a peaceful
...good night.
