Dear Moontown Cafe,

In this new layout, I just need a free-to-all discussion are that people frequent, to post these announcements. This looks like it?

Poetry & Poets in Rags (http://www.webdelsol.com/IBPC/wire_rags.htm)

We have a real fine week of poetry and poets in the online newspapers this week. The first two stories are really co-headliners. We have some serious news, but also some terrific poetry and some fun stuff. For fun, for instance, check out the babe in our friend Sarah Crown's article in Great Regulars.

The final results from David Biespiel's term as IBPC judge are in, and AnnMarie Eldon of The Writer's Block (http://www.the-writers-block.net/) has taken the top spot, with Steve Meador of SplashHall Poetry (http://www.splashhall.org/cgi-bin/boards/ikonboard.cgi) second, and Arthur Durkee from The Critical Poet (http://www.criticalpoet.com/) third. Congratulations to all three! They are super poems (http://www.webdelsol.com/IBPC/winningpoems.html).

As we tear down the Biespiel stage, to prepare for our upcoming judge, Tree Riesener, Managing Editor of the Schuylkill Valley Journal (http://www.manayunkartcenter.org/svja.html), my thanks to David Biespiel (http://poetry.about.com/library/bldbiespiel.htm) for being so responsive both on the scene, and behind the scenes. Enough cannot be said about the work he has done for us. You did not see some of what he did. He is one of those great guys you encounter in life from time to time, doing more than is originally asked, with no special requests for return. All of us in the IBPCommunity have a new and true friend. After judges experiencing hardships and one falling through for us, we are back on top of things with his help. If you have not considered it already, please check out Bud Bloom Poetry: Poetry Northwest: Diving Back in With David Biespiel (http://budbloom.blogspot.com/2006/06/poetry-northwest-diving-back-in-with.html), with an eye to subcribing to the excellent periodical now under his editorship: Poetry Northwest (http://www.poetrynw.org/).

Yours,<br>
Rus
