Hiding horror - Vintage Gazette's Challenge

Hiding horror - Vintage Gazette's Challenge

The stone blue eye
Peering into me
Tempting me
Sizing me

Shrouded by the
Rich fire red velvet

Her heart was shrouded
In this same way
By a beautiful velvet
Hiding the ugly gray.

Her lips cracked in
A small half smile
While the hidden half
A viciously vivacious smile

Her hand enveloping
The forbidden fruit
Poised to crush it
Or give it.

I turn from her
The apple shatters
In clenched fist.

The red velvet
Thrown off
And the ugly gray
Peering at my back.
