WEATHER MOST UNFORTUNATE (sonnet)
(Carpe Diem / Memento Mori)

White settles comforter, wind softens hush,
''adieu'' in silence whispers chill to kill.
As naked fingers, timbers climb. Air brush
the snowy cover cold it strokes lay still.
Above, where blue spills avalanche, branch cross
appears a sign His sacrifice. Arise
forever live His gift, this mortal loss,
lifts hope eternity for one who lies.
Mirror, azure heavens hue my flesh soon be
in pond reflection mist, evaporate
ethereal flees numbness, soul set free.
Cries death, now breathing stillness, ''liberate,
from forest floor ascend.'' existence past
untimely frozen fell this Winter blast.
