(after some consideration I feel this piece a fit for challenge #6. Please let me know if you agree and especially let me know if you do not.) Your feedback will be graciously anticipated, accepted and even expected.

Forever grateful,

this day so cloudy cold
fills moisture bitterness I taste
shine yesterdays chill brightness touched
my hope tomorrow differently I see

as it is I am

these shoes I walk my feet
retreat to never shall
discover know avoid defeat
path chosen likely vary will

as it is I am

sometimes spills love from joy
as rain tears fall trail wash
I ford a cross now carry with
so heavy wish could leave behind

as it is I am

to blame am I in all of this
my faults rub blister scars
direction changes callouses
continue toughening confess

as it is I am
