Lonesome Lovers
I also picked "If I could Tell you" by W. H. Auden. Hope you like my interpretation.

Lonesome Lovers

Burgundy buds are blossoming
among barren trees supposed dead
Your unspoken taboos unravel
beneath the melting snow drifts
Spring brings anew, the
scent of green wind
The sun glistening, branches swaying
Datura growing in your summer garden
I''ve been a pale face mime, wondering?
Feeling, sketching out the pain that haunts you
Time will heal all wounds if
you''d only let me in
Alas the leaves of grass begin
to brown, crumpling
A tinge of cool with amber lanterns
dancing through November rains
Formative secrets still
billowing beneath your breath
Autumn''s bittersweet crimson
falling around us
The suspense of silence kills me,
your eyes say different
The brittle crunch of dead leaves,
the only sound

Pen my instrument paper my canvas
