Skeleton in Your Closet? (Challenge 15)

Skeleton in Your Closet? (Challenge 15)

Secrets held,
Never talked about,
Depression hidden,
With pills and a fake smile,
If you can pull it off.
Still taboo,
How many of us suffer in
Grueling silence?
Put down,
Seen as lazy.
Thought about as less than.
We number more than you know.
Is it in your family???
Oh, no, of course not.
Than what’s that skeleton in your closet???
Time to take it out,
And see the unseen,
We are everywhere,
Stop for a moment
And take a look,
We may be smiling,
But you’ll see it in our eyes,
The heavy, heavy burden,
Of depression.
