My Little Secret (Challenge15)

My Little Secret (Challenge15)

The light shines brightly
Off the shimmering silver fragment,
Like the sun, over a peaceful sea,
As it traces the lines of my pain,
Across my skin.
Something real,
Something physical to see,
As beautiful red droplets,
Drip, tick-tock, to the floor,
Releasing my horrific pain.
I sigh in relief,
My little secret.
But the scars of my
unbearable existence
Are left,
For all to see.

"The greatest warriors are the ones who stand for peace." H. Near
