Challenge 15 - The final laugh

Challenge 15 - The final laugh

She was once a happy girl
With dreams plenty
And a soaring heart
Until disaster struck

Walking down a lonely path
On a cold dreary night
Came the wolves
With raging desire
Longing a body
To use and abuse
And disaster struck

Her beauty now marred
Her dreams now scarce
She didn't know
Reality from dreams
Anymore, henceforth

There came people
To nip a tender bud
There came people
To rouse the dead heart
Friends merged into foes
She had to get away

There came the devils
To take her away
She heard their voices
Clear as a crystal
To the exclusion of all else
She saw no one but the devils
She had to beat them to it

Before anyone touched her
She had to do it
She pulled the trigger
And had the final laugh
Her body was found
And the laugh was never heard
Ever again

My attempt at portraying a story depicting a cause for schizophrenia... I chose to stray from my usual style of rhyming... Please let me know how I can improve...
