The Fringe-Challenge 15

The Fringe-Challenge 15

Although we live many places,
Even right next to you,
We lay on the fringe of society,
Where the “healthy” don’t dare tread.
And in their ignorant stance,
Think us to be trash,
To be put out at the curb,
Or just die, whatever.
They think us to be violent,
Yet most often,
We are the ones violated.
They think us to be lunatics,
That word, so degrading,
We are just sick.
Or, most often,
They just don’t think.
But when someone you know,
Like, love,
Comes into the fringe,
And they will,
Will you be ready?
Or will you throw them
Out to the curb
With the trash?
