Simply Unaware(Challenge 15) True Story for Rhonda

The pills that keep her,
From the madness of voices inside.
Have left her morbidly obese,
Names are called out,
“Fat” jokes told,
But she is simply unaware
Of her own body,
And the people stare.

Her attire exposes too much
Some call her a slut,
Others call her a scag,
Some think her a prostitute,
But she is simply unaware
Of how she presents herself,
And the people stare.

She talks too much,
Too loud,
Inappropriately,
And nonsensical,
Laughing hysterically,
Yet she is simply unaware
Of her behavior,
And the people stare.

She sleeps too much,
Is profoundly depressed,
Has tried to take her own life,
Does drugs to kill the pain,
Gazes out
The open window,
With a forlorn stare,
And the people are simply unaware.
