Stealing Freedom (Challenge 15)

Stealing Freedom (Challenge 15)

Leather restraints
Steal her freedom.
Crazed at being tethered
Like an animal,
She secretly screams inside,
But knows she must not cry out,
Or physically struggle,
That would only make it worse.
She is innocent,
Yet they torture her
Like a war criminal.
She is kind of heart,
She just needs the right pills,
Yet this “place” that’s supposed to
Make you better,
Only kills your spirit,
And lets you go.

"The greatest warriors are the ones who stand for peace." H. Near
