Painting CHALLENGE 16

Violet blooms, violent
bruising across the vastness of a white plane
a thin line of charcoal trails,
around it
to define it.

Red, shaded with tiny increments,
looks as if
there is light behind it.
Life behind it.

Green drips steady,
gravity pulls,
color like jealousy
like love,
toward

And she,
with her face speckled with paint,
rainbow dust
spreads it, feels it.
needing to communicate
something she can''t quite.. say

so she edges the canvas with grey
and with blue,
rubbing it with her thumb
a rorshach love letter to the world.
She asks me
''what do you see?''
