The Potter Gives Birth (Challenge 16)

The Potter Gives Birth (Challenge 16)

The potter’s wheel spins ‘round,
In rhythm to her slow and easy footstep,
Like rocking a cradle.
Her graceful, feminine, hands,
Glaze the surface
Of Mother Nature’s earth,
Loving its creation,
As a woman would, her swollen womb,
Feeling one with the form.
Hours of labor
Consume the time,
But her love outweighs it,
As she carefully forms the delicate being
To perfection,
She finally births her art,
And somewhere in the world,
A child is born.

"The greatest warriors are the ones who stand for peace." H. Near
