(COAL)
She was strong as an ox,
Wise as an owl,
With her fiery red hair,
A leader in freedom,
Sang songs of peace,
And women’s rights,
Really got it off her chest,
She made me think,
Taught me,
Made me aware
Of the way the world turns,
And all the atrocities,
That I never knew.
And I am ever thankful,
For she helped me be
The man I am.

(DIAMOND)
Strength and wisdom
Flowed freely from her heart,
As her passionate voice
Sang out loud,
Proud,
Not just songs, but stories,
Poetry, ideas,
Of peace,
And women’s rights,
In a world
That has gone all wrong.
A musical mentor she was,
As I listened with my soul,
Taking in the wisdom
She so freely gave.
She showed me the world,
With open eyes,
And helped mold me,
Into the man I am today.
