1st the Coal

Rocks piled on shovel spade
Rush of idiots for riches gain
Pon the hills with glittered gold
The word, the whisper, the story told

"We speak not of any secrets"
(We keep to ourselves quite much)
For we are headed West pon tomorrow
For the forty niner rush

If you see a glitter
Keep in mind
We were first
In the line

Now the Diamond

While we wagon ride, I draw king spade
Winning one mountain we will soon raid
Pon the hills of glittering gold
Ones of thousand follow gossip we''re told

We kept no lie out in the fray
For fear of more than one rival in way
The year is forty nine but the hour comes soon
A time of whiskey and party saloon

So if glitter catches a persons eye
Wait and hand it or else you will die
Our bullet will not stop to judge thy
Life is yes rough when gold''s in man''s eyes
