Why is blond hair fair?
Is it, I wonder, fair?
In days bygone the fairs
Did only fair-haired let come in?
Was it because they paid the fair
And how much since then has been of a swing?
A golden-haired maiden''s fair plait
Is worrying me the most.
Its length, its cost.
