Challenge twenty one: vampires.

Challenge twenty one: vampires.

Blood is thicker than water,
Friendship better than slaughter,
Rats are smaller than bats,
What are cats to the mats?
What are bats to vampires?
And my goals to umpires?

If a vampire was a match arbiter
Whose outlook for this will be too bitter?
If he was, as I say it, an arbaiter,
whose score will look only much brighter?

When you compare, you establish a proportion:
You say a portion of this thing
Is like a portion of another. Bats have wings
Which keep them in the flying motion
Like birds or planes,
And fangs like snakes
Have the vampires,
Which means umpires
Are something in between a bat and snake.
Just, maybe, minus five
Of someone''s goals in water kept alive.
This can''t be true, for goodness sake!
