Poison Tongue

I'm trembling,
Remembering
Dosing up on Jimmy Beam
Collecting blood stains on my sleeve
I'm watching all my scratches bleed
Its agony
This travesty
This anger that I have in me
I can't believe
Just how naive
They are through this soliloquy
I'm talking,
No-ones listening,
Cause everyone's envisioning
The life that they all want to lead
While I'm trapped inside broken dreams
And I'm trapped inside these old scars
That came from all these broken hearts
It fell apart
A shooting star
That vanished somewhere in the dark
A little sharp
From all the fire
Forged a streetcar named Desire
Her attire
She acquired
Through venomous lips
Though not a liar
Her past hidden
In the flames
Those hearts she broke
Wont say no names
She plays the games
She gains her fame
And fought her way through hell and pain
She overcame
These mental chains
And holds with her
A little blade
The crimson shade
That matched her lips
And that glass of champagne
That slipped.
