i have spent a long time searching...
for a road that leads nowhere.

i drive and drive but never mind
the bumps and potholes that reside
on uneven shoulders and turn offs.

i'm looking for that stretch of highway
with no streetlights.

i ready my turn signal;
an abandoned area that leads to mountain ranges, or the fountain of youth.

the place doesn't matter as long as i
travel there alone.

...a road less traveled by is the place that i call home.
