Hour Up

Hour Up

You look like Santa on sabbatical,
feel like an old tweed coat.
Your warmth reaches up and out
like a Josh Groban song.
You listen, heed and note.
When you have no answer
you make me believe I do.
Although I'm drawing your picture,
you never sketch mine;
leaving me free
to change my boundaries -
reshape my desires.
The best gift I can offer
is to grasp that fine balance
which lets me say:

Goodbye Friend

Bethe
