With my sincerity

With my sincerity

When I said I did not want anyone to cry
at my funeral
I did not want you
to dance on my grave

I worship a harsher God though

My moon
is a broken thumb

My moon
is a sore

And the darkest every night
I find you in a dream
and you walk to me
until the sun is a tourniquet

After the fire of your hair
illuminates my dreams
Lights my night
when there is hardly any light
somehow I find morning

And I find you
at the end of my pen
after the hard kiss of darkness

After the paralyzing fear that I may never see you
again when I have yet to hold you
chills my heart
causes a panic no pill
can cure
I know the day
when life begins to fade from my chest
and breath becomes a chore
I will will myself awake
in the hope
of finding your embrace
locked in the back of my manic mind
in a garden of gardenias and roses
and tulips and cherry blossoms
that I have built for you to reside in
and I will bring you to
when you accept that I am genuine

No smoke
No mirrors

I will mine you a diamond
and give you all I have left in this world
so that your feet never feel soreness
and your lips find solace
in my lips
the way I find solace
in your eyes
