Art ~ Lauri Blank

When the breeze softly cools in the late afternoon
and the sky gently dims preparing for the moon...

As the surf starts to crash in rhythm on the sand
and seagulls lay quiet, while the sky takes command
of the suns golden glow descending towards the sea
and leaving in her wake, a pallet of beauty

Painted in rainbow hues of yellow, orange and red
sweeping the graceful sky, ''til the sun finds her bed
in twilight''s tender pause...As the night will fall soon

And me...just patiently...waiting for the moon
