A Man's Love

A Man's Love

A woman's love is always pure,
It flows abundant from the start;
Her gentle charms are too demure
To disavow a sincere heart.
She dotes on all the little things,
To sing in praise of her betrothed.
Then dreams of marriage in the spring,
Her wedding ring, the shoes, the cloths.

A man finds love in wonderment.
Amazed and startled, he's confused
And, at the same time, surely bent.
To him, no toll could be refused.
At first he tries to fight allure.
Then, all at once, his mind is sure.
