What Am I Afraid Of?

I know there are many people in this world
Who have money, cars and many places to go
Yet you got me wrapped in yours, baggage and all
Baby I sure hope I'm not setting up to again fall

I always give all of me it's how my heart defaults
You are so real to me I hope you're not Santa Claus
All the gifts you got me leave me standing in awe
So why am I worried when I feel I got it all?

It's because of you, the things you do for me
I had a dream that you made into reality

As the days pass quickly I hope what we got lasts
I know drinks and smoke and daylight always pass
All I ask is that you don't change how you do caress
My heart, my lips, everywhere you want to address

We speak about love everyday on the phone
And everyday I want to take off to your home
To lay down in my spot next to you and not alone
Goodnight and Good Morning. How can this be wrong?

You are the one I searched for so long, so long
My nights with you is an unforgettable love song

You see inside me lives a boy with no fear or regrets
Like a child I search for a place for my head to rest
The perfect place for me to be baby is on your chest
I can hear your heart say to me that I am the best

To deny would be a lie because with you I am complete
You are the air I breathe and solid ground beneath my feet
I often wondered why other couples get bitter and scorn
Seems to me the linen in their pockets are completely worn

I feel good and living better everyday, for I am in love
I don't want to sound cliche but you fit me like a glove

We both have been hurt and bear scars of the past
What others took for granted before we'll make last
By the time this reaches your eyes you may already know
Im here for the long run and promise to never let go

I promise to always be a gentleman and hold your hand
I vowed to always be your man and also your best friend
I'll always hold you tight, so tight next to me at night
Close to me is where you belong. Please never say goodbye

"I'm gonna make damn sure that you can't ever leave
No, you won't ever get too far from me"
