To the Girl in Orenburg

To the Girl in Orenburg

Light crawls through the window now,
lays lightly on the floor

Last night I had another fist fight
with the moon and the bruise
is still on my cheek leaving me
marked and weepy

But what memory do I have
that has not left its scar
somewhere on my body

What memory do I have anymore

A cat cries in the rain
and it sounds just like heartache

I see the flowers shiver
in this light as I shake
like a hurricane
remembering life before I lived
like this

When there was hope
that I could be completely
sewn together for you

The sun is hiding today
by accident,
not some grand design,
which reminds me I could look for you

Climb from my bed and put in a whole
hearted effort

Leave no stone...

But when I find you
what would I say

You are the one dependency
I have

I have felt you in my viens

And what would you say
to me

You were there
when I layed down last night
but like a ghost when I awoke
and the clouds are forming outside
until the storm breaks
inside me and I
drown in it
because I miss you still

But somewhere
a fire is burning
and the champagne is poured for us

And you open to me
in the moonlight
like love''s last red rose
