Light is fading

Light is fading

I asked her
what she liked about me
and she could come up
with nothing

Asked her what she hated
and she would not
shut up

The light is fading

There is just a flicker
and I saw the door closing
before she did

Black water

Day and night

And her absence still chokes
the air like perfume

Fade into me
so I can comfort you
from what I cannot
be comforted from

Skylines and sunset murders

Midnight in the afternoon

Twilight dusking passionate kisses
still warm and wet

Still deep as the ancient rivers

The same still waters
where my dead brethren lay

And I will sew myself
into the giant maple

But I even remember
the creak she left behind her
The thunderous echo of thud
tread like a floor board

Just remember
you will never find
a welcome mat
more like me

And the passionate
die alone

hit me up on Facebook.
