"Two of us sending postcards, writing letters...we`re going home."
~ "Two of Us," The Beatles

Souvenirs

I could tattoo your back
with the world`s relief map
Lips travel dreamtrip
leave a flag stickpin kiss
in all those places I haven`t seen
We haven`t been
tracing over the dotted lines
plane path and reverie swept roadway
dragging a happy teardrop trailer
down my sun reddened cheek

In your skin
I can taste and smell the salt of every ocean
and hear all cities push pulse through your chest
I need you to feel the earth`s curve along my hip
and see the flora growing
from the folds of my fingerprints

It`s welling up
the wanderlust
It`s telling out
the landlove story
to everyone else I''d leave behind
to come away with you

Note: I am looking to edit this and I am open to any reviews, change suggestions, or any other feedback. Thank you!
