Faithfully Doubting

Faithfully Doubting

The phone rings
And I rush to pick it up;
Thinking it might be you,
But Im out of luck,

Its tella-marketing;
Not you calling,

But my heart is still all skippy
And fluttering with goofy hope;
It usually stays that way a few
minutes after I answer the phone,

Then I recede into despare;
relizing once again your not there,

You do call, twice a week;
And life is wonderfull while we speak,

I miss you, youll be back soon I know;
But times tick-tocking ever so slow,

I sink ito a gloomy depression;
Wanting an answer to a silent question,
Do you feel it too?
the way I need you,
You say you do,

When you say that you
love me,I know its true;
I hear such tenderness
In your, I love you,

And I hope I love you
The way you love me;
But I feel
caught by my thoughts
not quite so free,
You see,
I have a tendancy;
To worry,

And to analyze
And judge myself;
how pure are my feelings?
so I resrain them till,

I wonder if theyre there;
And how much do I care?

But when I talk to you;
And hear your I love you;
And say I love you too,
I know I really do,

So I hope you call soon
And answer my question;
Im fading fast into
My deep depression,

But I will smile still,
Because I feel;
And know you will.
