Lost Love

Lost Love

I have lost my love, who knows not where?
Behind the cupboard? Behind the chair?
I suppose it does not matter,
If it is here,
Or if it is there,
Once I had it! the love I mean,
All bright and shiny so much it gleamed,
I guess you filled it at the 10 star pump?
So full I could just run and jump,,
It took us from A, (Which is me) to U (Who I thought true),
You seemed to get away from I,
As we travelled on our journey through the dreamy sky,
I reckon all the while my heart loved you,
Your eyes were cellophane, and see right through,
I should have seen when you packed your things,
That your finger would never wear my ring,
And now I face the world alone,
A lost love gone,
I should have known,
My heart waits to be fulfilled, and I will search behind the chair,
For that lost love,
I know is there!
