She loves me, I know.
The hands she has are so soft and smooth.
She loves me.

I pierced the petal without taking a vow.
I think she knows I have picked flowers before.
The smell of the water and heat of the passion.
She loves me.

I found her floating in and out of the pond.
The fish were flopping the water was quiet.
I skipped my rock across the surface and I hit her.
I hit her with it.

I did not mean to meet her.
I found her accidentally.
I wasnt looking.
But she was.

Now I am sure she loves me.
Because we do what animals do.
To guard territory.
To guard love.

But, I wont fight for her.
I cannot love her.
I cannot be loved.

But this moment is special to her.
This is the moment she loves.
To be held by me like an animal guarding its food.
I think she loves me.

How will I tell her?
I am too old for games, but she is not.
I know she could love me.
She could love me if I wasnt an animal.

Now is the time to leave.
Hibernation is coming.
But the flowers, all the flowers will die.
And I will find new ones next year.

Till then, she loves me.

Never play leapfrog with a unicorn.
