They Were Dancing

They Were Dancing

The soft evening light surrounded them like a halo
as they embraced, swirled and dipped; their hands entwined,
gazing with passionate intensity into each other's eyes.

They were dancing.

Closer, faster; the haunting music took control of their bodies,
as they laughed, whirled and swayed; their feet in perfect synch,
breathing with rhythmic fury into each others hair.

They were dancing.

The room fell away, and the song came from a distant place,
as their lips came together in a hot, steamy bond of desire:
The notes unheard; the floor unfelt; the world forgotten.

They were dancing.

They were dancing to OUR SONG!
My heart is rendered to bloody, crimson jelly.
My head is aflame with white-hot liquid fire.
My body is a quivering mass of foul, black defecation.

THEY... they were DANCING... to OUR... OUR SONG!!!
