The Game (Pretending)

I want to play a game with you.
(Please)
It's a game of make-believe.
(Pretending)

Let's pretend were in love again.
Let's do the things we did so long ago.

Let's go running through a giant golden field
on a warm, sunny day when the spring arrives again,
with its rainbow of flowers, and green, waving leaves.
Let's lie beneath the cool shade of a tall oak tree
and hold each other like we'll die if we dare to let go.
Let's kiss like two lovers trying to put out a fire
that rages in their passionate souls with crimson fury.
Let's make love like two savage creatures in a battle
to possess and devour each other's inflamed, wet bodies;
trying to swallow each other's red, thumping, racing hearts.

I want to play a game with you.
(Please)
It's a game of make-believe.
(Pretending)

Let's pretend were in love again.
Let's do the things we did so long ago.
