Don't Say a Word

Don't Say a Word

We walk along a narrow cliff, high above the sea.
The loose rocks slip, slide and tumble beneath our feet,
while we struggle to maintain our shaky, precarious balance.

Don't let them know the truth.
They must not find out.
Don't say a word.

We play with razor sharp, stainless steel knives.
The gleaming silver blades threaten to cut and slice,
while we nervously gamble with our own precious blood.

Don't reveal it to the world.
They cannot be told.
Don't say a word.

We dance on crimson, fiery coals of searing heat.
The red-grey, blazing lumps hiss, crackle and smoke,
while we step lightly and lively in barefooted, blissful agony.

Don't tell a single soul.
They must stay in the dark.
Don't say a word.
