She Leaves Me (She Comes To Me: Part 2)

She Leaves Me (She Comes To Me: Part 2)

She leaves me.
Show over - Curtain down - Lights out
Peering through my window; watching her go:
The rain pelts the foggy glass, running down in silvery rivulets,
as I catch a ghostly glimpse of my pale face in the window pane.

Did I say too much?
Did I not say enough?
Did I open my mouth once too often?
Did I keep my mouth shut one too many times?
Why are you walking away?

Sitting on the edge of my lonely bed; head in hands:
Outside the rain still falls in persistent silvery wetness,
like a mocking mimicry of my pathetic tears.
Show over - Curtain down - Lights out
She leaves me.
