Iceberg Encounter.

Iceberg Encounter.

She passed me in the ally
with icy eyes
smouldering frosty bile,
having parried naive hope
she froze my wide eyed smile.

I am perplexed,
bewildered, bemused,
what is it that she sees
that I have been accused,
I must have trod on delicate toes
for her to storm straight through me
like an angry, bitter wind blows.
