Blind Passion

Blind Passion

With blind eye, deaf ear and mute tongue
I banged, slammed and beat like a drum,
while your gentle heart melted from a
pain that pulled out the burning tears,
and your tender soul wailed into the sky with
a weeping signal that my inflamed eyes
never saw, my buzzing ears never heard
and my hungry tongue couldn't taste, for my
screaming brain was trapped in a red passion
that incinerated the very air around me,
and my wet, thundering body was pounding out
a beat that left you unable to catch the rhythm.
