I kiss my trembling finger tips
and slowly reach outward, gently
touching the shiny blue urn, holding
them there for one brief moment.
Goodbye my little bride.
I'll miss you until that day comes
when they place my urn next to yours,
and together we'll rest side by side
until the Earth is a cold dead rock,
and the moon turns blue from the chill.
