Mourning for love

Mourning for love

I always thought that
Love was cool
But for attention and love,
I was a fool

Sorry for me
I was a sucker for love
Pity for me,
I thought you were sent from above

My love for you
Was always true
Don't turn me black and blue
Like your mama did to you

You promised me love
And left me hanging
But on your door
I was banging

I'd shout, "I love you!"
From the mountain top
But its true, love cant be bought
From just any shop

You were beautiful,
Just like you heart
But your love for me
Was my favorite part

Love was a confusion
That made me stupid
But the shot was a miss
By the love God, Cupid

I thought you were precious,
A dollar or a dime
But it turned out,
You were a waste of my time

Your weakening love
Drove me mad
But the painful break-up
Made me sad

You and I were always
A team
But that's all from me
And my rhyming scheme
