An Ode To You

An Ode To You

After her
I froze my mind
with frigid loathing
and iced my heart
with frosted contempt.
The polar airs of
a yenti's foul breath
gripped my icy soul
like a frozen
arctic wasteland.
Since you
The golden rays
of a bright spring sun
have warmed my spirit
and melted the ice
into silver trickles
of cool resurrection,
pooling at my feet
like crystal lakes
on a pine-covered
Swiss hillside.
